Christy Freer
Christy Freer is Chief Legal Officer of HASI. She is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Company’s legal strategy in support of its business objectives and long-term growth. She provides oversight across corporate governance, securities and regulatory compliance, capital markets, investments, employment law, and other legal matters.
Prior to joining HASI in 2026, Ms. Freer served as the General Counsel of Inspiration Mobility, Senior Corporate Counsel at Plaid, and Senior Director of Capital Markets Legal at Capital One. She began her career in private practice, focusing on securitization and complex structured finance at Mayer Brown and Orrick.
Ms. Freer holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Louisiana State University.
