Viral Amin
Viral Amin is Senior Managing Director and Co-Chief Risk Officer of HASI. He is responsible for co-managing the company’s risk and portfolio management activities and supporting the firm’s underwriting process.
Since joining HASI in 2023, Mr. Amin has enhanced and expanded the company’s risk management efforts, significantly contributing to HASI's growth objectives.
Prior to joining HASI, Mr. Amin served as Vice President of Business Development, Strategy, and Mergers and Acquisitions at DTE Vantage, DTE’s unregulated portfolio company. At DTE, he held multiple commercial and strategic roles across utility and non-utility businesses, ultimately overseeing the company’s investment activities. He drove growth by sourcing, conducting due diligence, and executing new projects in renewable and industrial energy. Before joining DTE, he worked as an engineer at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation.
Mr. Amin received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
