> HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (NYSE: HASI) is a publicly traded U.S. investor in sustainable infrastructure assets advancing the energy transition. Headquartered in Annapolis, MD with an office in New York, HASI provides capital — including structured equity, common equity, mezzanine debt, credit facilities, land sale leasebacks, receivables purchases, and finance solutions for tax transferability — to clients deploying clean energy and climate-positive assets across the United States.

HASI manages more than $16 billion in assets and has closed over 1,300 investments since its 1981 founding (and IPO on the NYSE in 2013). Its portfolio is organized into three markets: Behind-the-Meter (distributed solar, storage, and energy efficiency), Grid-Connected (utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and battery storage, plus land financing), and Fuels, Transport & Nature (renewable natural gas, fleet decarbonization, and ecological restoration). HASI's investments cumulatively avoid roughly 10 million metric tons of CO2e annually.

HASI is known for two distinguishing tools: **CarbonCount®**, a proprietary scoring methodology (created 2013, updated to 2.0 in 2023 with hourly locational marginal emissions) that measures avoided CO2e per dollar invested; and **Sustainable Yield Bonds™**, the first such asset-backed green securitization in the U.S. market. The company has investment-grade credit ratings (BBB- from Fitch and S&P) and runs a $2 billion strategic partnership with KKR (CarbonCount Holdings 1) plus a $500 million joint venture with Sunrun.
